Strategic Partnerships Manager
(Full-time, remote, US-based only)
Check My Ads Institute, the global digital advertising watchdog, is looking for a results-oriented Strategic Partnerships Manager who brings experience in fundraising and/or revenue-focused marketing to help expand sustainable funding through donor relationship systems and strategic partnerships. In this role, you’ll lead donor outreach and cultivation, craft and manage thoughtful and personalized donor communications, build meaningful partnerships with corporate and brand partners, and steward relationships with external civil society partners in collaboration with the Programs team. Working closely with our program staff, you’ll help shape and carry out a fundraising strategy that supports Check My Ads’ mission and priorities. This role includes travel to build relationships and represent the organization with external partners. The ideal candidate is a strong relationship-builder, a confident writer, and a proactive, strategic thinker who enjoys working in a mission-driven environment.
Check My Ads is the digital advertising watchdog — a non profit 501(c)3 incorporated in Delaware and operating globally as a remote workforce. Check My Ads exists to raise awareness and create the permission structure for brands, consumers, and regulators to hold the adtech industry accountable for abuses against advertisers and consumers.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Fundraising Planning
- Design and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy in partnership with the Programs team.
- Align fundraising goals with programmatic priorities, impact metrics, and revenue targets.
- Track performance against goals, analyze results, and refine strategies to optimize revenue.
Donor Prospecting & Cultivation
- Research and scope out new potential donors—including foundations, individual major donors, and corporate donors.
- Help identify new institutional funding opportunities and collaborate closely with the program and administrative teams to develop, draft, and submit grant applications.
- Help maintain a robust donor pipeline, ensuring consistent follow-up and engagement.
- Identify funding opportunities through brands and corporate sponsorship initiatives.
Personalized Donor Communications
- Write personal, compelling, and authentic letters and emails to individual donors and prospects.
- Maintain a regular cadence of donor touchpoints (updates, briefings), ensuring timely communication that reflects donor interests and organizational impact.
- Support stewardship activities including thank-yous, impact updates, and renewal outreach.
Corporate & Brand Partnerships
- Research and pitch brand-aligned corporate funding opportunities.
- Support the development of sponsorship packages, and partnership decks.
- Collaborate with our Program team to ensure alignment between brand partnerships and organizational messaging.
CRM & Pipeline Management
- Manage donor information and activity tracking in Pipedrive, ensuring accurate data entry and reporting.
- Continuously improve CRM processes for efficiency and relationship management.
Partnerships, Communications & Relationship Management
- Prepare and deliver updates and communications to external civil society partnerships, in partnership with Programs team.
- Maintain relationships with external partners, attending coalition calls, liaising, and sharing updates on an ongoing basis.
- Develop external partner and funder-facing explainers and other materials, in partnership with Programs team.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree is required.
- Demonstrated experience in fundraising, development, strategic partnerships, or revenue-focused marketing.
- Proven ability to build, cultivate, and steward donor and partner relationships.
- Experience developing and executing fundraising or revenue strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling and personalized donor outreach.
- Demonstrated experience identifying, pitching, and managing corporate or brand partnerships.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a remote, mission-driven environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed to represent the organization.
Salary range and benefits:
This is a full-time position, expected to work 40 hours/week and is open to US-based applicants only. While this is a remote role, candidates must be able to work Eastern Time (ET) hours. The salary range is 90,000-105,000 USD/year and offers will be made commensurate to experience.
